As part of the Nirmala Bhavanam, Nirmala Nagaram 2.0 – Azhakode Alappuzha campaign, aimed at making Alappuzha completely waste-free, biobin distribution has begun in Ashram Ward.
The distribution ceremony was inaugurated by Health Standing Committee Chairperson Beena Ramesh. Ward Councillor Gopika Vijayaprasad presided over the event, while Councillors Kavitha A.S. and Rakhi Rajkumar extended their greetings. Canalpy and IRTC team members Jesna, Anthress, Vishnu, and Sharuq provided detailed guidance on proper biobin usage.
This initiative is implemented with the support of Living Lab Alleppey, promoting community-led sustainable waste management practices and ensuring residents adopt scientific methods for organic and non-organic waste handling.
