Community Committee Formed to Ensure City Safety and Cleanliness

A people’s committee was formed under the leadership of the Alappuzha Municipality to ensure urban safety and cleanliness. 22-may-22

To achieve complete citywide sanitation, the committee decided to involve all citizens in the “Nirmal Bhavanam, Nirmal Nagaram 2.0 – Azhakode Alappuzha” campaign and to carry out cleanliness declarations across all 52 wards by October 2.

For enhanced urban security, it was also decided to install around 500 surveillance cameras across various institutions and residential associations.

The meeting was attended by public representatives, police officials, representatives of trade and industrial associations, residents’ association members, institutional representatives, municipal officials, Kudumbashree workers, and collaborators from CANALPY, Living Lab Alleppey & IRTC.
