In preparation for the Rani Canal cleanup on April 22 (Earth Day), a corner meeting was organized in Iravukad Ward.
Volunteers, Kudumbashree members, Haritha Karma Sena workers, and representatives from Residents’ Associations from Kuthirappanthi, Iravukad, Wadakkal, Gurumandiram, and Mullath wards participated in the cluster meeting.
Following the cleanup on the 22nd, the group leaders received plaques and promotional materials from Chairperson Soumya Raj and Health Standing Committee Chairperson Beena Ramesh for installation in households.
The campaign coordinator, Jaffer, conducted training classes for the participants.
This initiative is conducted in collaboration with Living Lab Alleppey, promoting community engagement, scientific waste management, and awareness.
