As part of the “Alappuzha Total Sanitation Mandal” campaign, aimed at making all local self-governments in the Alappuzha constituency completely free from waste, a workshop was organized to coordinate activities in Mananchery Grama Panchayat. The workshop, held at the Panchayat Community Hall, was inaugurated by Alappuzha MLA P. P. Chitharanjan.
Panchayat President Adv. T. V. Ajith Kumar presided over the function, while Vice President Jumailath delivered the welcome address. The project framework was presented by KILA Research Associates.
To ensure effective implementation, the Panchayat Core Committee was constituted.
LSGD Joint Director Pradeep and standing committee chairpersons Udayamma and Ullas addressed the gathering.
In addition, Living Lab Alleppey and CANALPY are extending support to the initiative through community engagement, decentralized waste management strategies, and capacity-building workshops, ensuring local participation and sustainable outcomes.
