Thirteen Wards Join Hands for Full Sanitation

To coordinate the fourth phase of the Nirmala Bhavanam, Nirmala Nagaram 2.0 – Azhakode Alappuzha sanitation campaign, a municipal-level meeting was held under the chairpersonship of Soumya Raj.

The fourth phase activities will cover 13 wards: Housing Colony, Sanathanapuram, Karalkam, District Court, Vadakkal, Mullakkal, Kaithavan, Mannath, Mullathuvalapp, Punnamada, Poothopp, Colorkode, and Railway Station.

The campaign aims to operationalize source-level waste management systems, implement Harithakarma Sena’s non-organic waste collection, and cultivate a culture of cleanliness that discourages littering in public spaces. The ultimate goal is to make all households and areas in the municipality completely waste-free through active public participation.

Standing Committee Chairpersons Beena Ramesh, R. Vineeth, and Councillors M.R. Prem, A.S. Kavitha, Prajitha U., Manish S., Salim, Sreelakha, B. Mehabub, Harikrishnan, Najitha Haris, Sajesh, Prabha Shashikumar, municipal health department officials, and Canalpy, IRTC, and Living Lab Alleppey team members participated in the meeting.
