As part of the “Nirmala Bhavanam, Nirmala Nagaram 2.0 – Azhakode Alappuzha” campaign, the Sanadanapuram Ward has formed a Cleanliness Committee to ensure proper waste management and strengthen community participation.
The initiative focuses on implementing source-level waste treatment systems, effective non-biodegradable waste collection by Haritha Karma Sena, and creating a culture where public spaces remain free from waste dumping.
The Cleanliness Committee formation meeting was inaugurated by Municipal Chairperson Soumya Raj and presided over by Ward Councillor Manisha. Municipal Health Department officials Sumesh Pavithran and Shamila, CAN Alappuzha representatives Jesna and Anseena, IRTC representatives Vishnu and Shahrooq, Haritha Karma Sena members, Kudumbashree workers, residence association representatives, and political party representatives participated in the program.
Living Lab Alleppey is actively supporting the campaign by providing technical expertise, community engagement strategies, and sustainable waste management models—helping Sanadanapuram build a cleaner, greener future.
