As part of the “Beautiful Alappuzha Sanitation Campaign,” kolorcode Ward is preparing to transform into a model clean ward. The first activity under the campaign—formation of the Sanitation Committee was held under the chairmanship of Ward Councillor Harikrishnan.
The meeting was attended by Sumesh Pavithran, Health Department official from the Municipality; Jesna, representative of CANALPY; Sharukh, Nermin, and Jannath from IRTC; Haritha Karma Sena members; Kudumbashree workers; ASHA workers; representatives of residence associations; and political party representatives.
Living Lab Alleppey is partnering in this initiative to ensure community participation, technical guidance, and sustainable models of localized waste management, helping Kalorcode Ward progress towards becoming a replicable model of waste-free urban governance.
