Through the “Beautiful Alappuzha Sanitation Campaign,” Railway Station Ward is preparing to achieve a new milestone in cleanliness. The first phase of the campaign the formation of the Sanitation Committee was held in the ward.
The meeting was inaugurated by Councillor Kavitha A.S. and chaired by Ward Councillor Prabha. Participants included Jesna from CAN Alappuzha, Vishnu and Nermin from IRTC, Haritha Karma Sena members, Kudumbashree workers, ASHA workers, representatives of residence associations, and political party representatives.
Living Lab Alleppey is collaborating in this initiative by providing technical guidance, community engagement strategies, and sustainable waste management practices, helping Railway Station Ward move towards becoming a replicable model of zero-waste living.
