As part of the “Alappuzha Total Sanitation Mandal” campaign, a workshop was organized at the Aryad Grama Panchayat Community Hall to coordinate activities under the program. The workshop was inaugurated by Panchayat President Biju Mon G., and presided over by Health Standing Committee Chairman Bibin Raj.
The project framework was presented by Rohit Joseph, representative of CANALPY, while LSGD Joint Director Pradeep outlined the project timeline.
For effective implementation, the Panchayat Core Committee and Ward-level Committees were constituted. Sanitation Mission District Coordinator Jayakumari, ward members, and local representatives participated in the session. Assistant Secretary Sujatha delivered the welcome address, and Development Standing Committee Chairman Santosh proposed the vote of thanks.
In addition, Living Lab Alleppey and CANALPY are supporting the initiative by integrating community-driven waste management models, capacity-building workshops, and participatory governance mechanisms, ensuring that Aryad progresses as a model clean village.
