Ms. Sabine Giglmeier and Ms. Amruta Jayawant, members of the Center for Heritage, Environment and Development (C-HED) research team, visited the decentralized liquid waste treatment plant – D-WATS – implemented jointly by KILA and IIT Bombay in the Chathannad Municipal Colony.
CanAlpy Project Coordinator Geethu provided a detailed explanation of the plant’s operations and processes.
This visit was conducted in collaboration with Living Lab Alleppey, highlighting best practices in decentralized waste management and fostering knowledge exchange between local and international stakeholders.
