98% of Households in Civil Station Ward Ready for Bio-Bins

As part of the Nirmmal Bhavanam Nirmmal Nagaram 2.0 (NBNN2.0) – Azhakode Alappuzha Campaign, 98% of households without organic waste processing systems have agreed to adopt bio-bins, announced Councillor Simi Shafikhan during a ward-level cleanliness committee meeting held ahead of the ward’s cleanliness declaration.

The meeting was attended by Councillor AS Kavitha, HI Harshid S, JHI Sumes Pavithran, CanAlapy coordinator Sulaikha, IRTC coordinators Vishnu, Jannath, Sharukh, ASH workers, Kudumbashree members, political party representatives, and volunteers.

The NBNN campaign aims to foster a waste-free public culture, ensure proper inorganic waste collection by Haritha Karma Sena, and make all households and neighborhoods in the municipality waste-free.

House-to-house collection drives, cleaning activities, and community engagement programs will continue in the ward in the coming days.
