To ensure organic waste collection in Valiyamaram ward, the Haritha Karmasena team conducted a household visit campaign as part of the Nirmmal Bhavanam Nirmmal Nagaram 2.0 (NBNN 2.0) – Azhakode Alappuzha Campaign. The initiative aims to guarantee door-to-door collection of inorganic and organic waste in all households.
The campaign was inaugurated by Chairperson Soumya Raj and chaired by Councillor Naseer Punnakkal.
Over 60 Haritha Karmasena members participated in the household visits in Valiyamaram ward. Councillor Kavitha AS, JHI Jayakumar, ADS Chairperson Shahitha, Secretary Hema Sindhu, and coordinators from CanAlapy and IRTC – Sulaikh, Vishnu, Sharukh, and Jannath – actively supported the campaign.
The program was conducted in collaboration with Living Lab Alleppey, encouraging community participation and promoting effective waste management at the household level.
